Position
Summary
The General Laborer will assist the installation team with job site preparation, surface preparation, concrete coating installation, cleanup, material handling, and overall project support.
This position is ideal for someone who is physically able to work hard, shows up on time, follows directions, pays attention to detail, and wants to grow in the decorative concrete and epoxy flooring trade. Experience in decorative concrete, epoxy flooring, construction, resurfacing, coatings, or similar trades is strongly preferred, but we are willing to train the right person with the right attitude.
Job Duties and
Responsibilities
The General Laborer may be responsible for:
- Assisting with decorative concrete and floor coating installations.
- Preparing concrete surfaces for coatings, overlays, resurfacing, and finishes.
- Grinding, cleaning, patching, masking, scraping, and prepping concrete floors.
- Helping install epoxy flooring, metallic epoxy, flake systems, chip stone, resurfacing products, sealers, and other coating systems.
- Loading and unloading materials, tools, machines, and equipment.
- Setting up and breaking down job sites.
- Mixing materials under supervision.
- Assisting installers with application, broadcasting flakes, cleanup, and finishing work.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Protecting customer property, walls, doors, landscaping, and surrounding surfaces.
- Following instructions from crew leaders, installers, and supervisors.
- Supporting residential, commercial, municipal, school, and industrial projects.
- Following company safety procedures and job site expectations.
- Representing A+ Concrete Designs LLC in a professional manner at all times.
Experience
Preferred
Experience in any of the following areas is a plus:
- Decorative concrete.
- Epoxy floor coatings.
- Metallic epoxy.
- Flake flooring systems.
- Concrete grinding.
- Concrete polishing.
- Concrete resurfacing.
- Construction labor.
- Painting, coatings, sealers, or waterproofing.
- Masonry, flooring, remodeling, or general construction.
- Commercial or industrial job site work.
Experience is preferred, but character still matters. A skilled worker with a bad attitude can ruin a job site faster than spilled epoxy in July. We want someone who can work, learn, listen, and take pride in the finished product.
